College Football Playoff Pulse: 2022 CFP National Championship Numerals

The Iconic 2022 CFP National Championship Numerals Installed at Indianapolis International Airport

With the 2022 College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship less than a week away, the city of Indianapolis continues its makeover with official CFP décor. Last week, the JW Marriot was completed with the famed 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship logo and trophy. Thursday, December 30, the iconic CFP brand continued to make its mark on the city at the Indianapolis International Airport as iconic 2022 numerals were installed. The 2022 structure now sits in Civic Plaza to greet visiting fans, and eventually the final two teams, to the city ahead of this weekend's events.

Here are some fast facts about the CFP numerals:

• The CFP numeral signs were 1st conceived in 2016 and have been in use for each championship year since
• Numerals are fabricated from aluminum with heavy ½” steel plate bases
• For each year in use, additional numerals have been added
• Each 5’ high numeral weighs a 250-300lbs
