The Indy Championships Fund was created in 2017 to provide funding for the 2021 (original date; now rescheduled to 2024) NBA All-Star game, the 2021 NCAA Men’s Final Four and the 2022 College Football Playoffs Championship game. Through the Local Hosts and Organizing Committees of each of these major events, we work to enrich and sustain the continuing legacy of sport in greater Indianapolis and the State of Indiana as a means of generating significant economic impact for the Indianapolis region and our State, advancing Indianapolis and Indiana’s ever-growing reputation as a world-class city and state, and building and maintaining a platform of necessary and worthy social change in greater Indianapolis and Indiana.

• Generate Significant Economic Impact
• Advance a Global Image, thereby fostering talent attraction, economic development, etc.
• Grow and Perpetuate Civic Engagement and Pride built on a foundation of Volunteerism, Civic Service, Diversity and Inclusion
• Create, Advance and Ensure an Ongoing Legacy from these events
• Promote New and Embrace Existing Amenities such as a new (major) hotel, improved infrastructure, etc.
• Uplift Arts and Culture by connecting them to the Championship events
• Cultivate, Pursue and Deliver Opportunities for Youth Education and other Social Impact
• Energize and Solidify the Sport Movement in Indiana for the next 40 years through the leadership of the Indiana Sports Corp and anchor institutions such as the NCAA, Visit Indy, Indianapolis Colts, Pacers Sports & Entertainment and the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race
• Promote Indianapolis and Indiana as Destinations of choice for Sport, Recreation and Employment as population migration patterns favor the Midwest in the future
• Embrace Innovation and Sustainability as guiding principles in our programming and in advancing these priorities.
