The city of Indianapolis was built to host world-class sporting events. For more than 40 years, Indy has hosted upwards of 450 national and international sporting events including Super Bowl XLVI in 2012, 18 U.S. Olympic Team Trials and NCAA Championship events in a variety of sports.
“Indianapolis has historically been an outstanding host for the Men’s Final Four – tied for second-most hosted Final Fours – and this year’s event certainly lived up to that standard. The Final Four featured three exciting basketball games and a host of wonderful fan events, including youth clinics, the March Madness Music Festival and the Final Four Fan Fest. We’re proud to work with the Horizon League, IUPUI and the Indiana Sports Corp, which once again put on an outstanding overall event for college basketball fans.”
“Indy is the (NBA) league’s most underrated stop.”
“There is no better city to visit for an event than Indy.”
“Indy is legitimately the greatest hosting city in America.”
Every NFL Official and media person I spoke with agreed Indianapolis should become a regular part of the Super-Bowl rotation. Super job, Indy.”
Indianapolis deserves another Super Bowl….And it’s a progressive city, and sports community.”
“Indianapolis is the best Super Bowl city I’ve ever seen.”
“Indy, you get an 11 out of 10. Best collective effort by any city hosting any sporting event I’ve attended.”
“(Indy) is the most sports centric city in the nation, if not the world. But as viewers all over the country found out last week, there is a lot more to Indy than sports.”
“The Final Four feels different here. It really is a city that unites the event and all the people around it. You don't have that everywhere."
