The College Football Playoff (CFP) Indy Host Committee announced today that the international aerial dance sensation, BANDALOOP, will be part of the fan experience at the 2022 CFP National Championship in Indianapolis with performances on Saturday, January 8, and Sunday, January 9, between acts at AT&T Playoff Playlist Live!.
Fans will need to look up to the top of the Salesforce Tower as six vertical dancers combine choreography and climbing technology into one breathtaking performance. The dancers will perform in tandem with a four-minute display of lights and music as they descend from the 49th to the 23rd floor of Indianapolis’s tallest building.
Under the artistic direction of Melecio Estrella, the dancers, including their founder Amelia Rudolph, will perform to original music by Ben Juodvalkis between the concerts at AT&T Playoff Playlist Live! on Saturday, January 8, and Sunday, January 9. Both performances are subject to weather conditions.
“We have performed all over the world from the Artic to the Equator, on skyscrapers, iconic bridges, and cliff formations, and we are looking forward to this special performance in Indianapolis to celebrate some of the most talented college athletes in the country,” said Thomas Cavanagh, BANDALOOP producer.
The group of six vertical dancers will hold open rehearsal sessions, easily viewed from Monument Circle, between 6 – 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, January 5, 6, and 7.
The 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship will take place on Monday, January 10 at 8 p.m. ET. The game will air live on ESPN.
